The Role

Were looking for a talented and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join a fast-growing innovative professional advisory firm working with closely held businesses in the automotive retail construction manufacturing distribution and other for-profit industries. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated entrepreneurial person with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will be responsible for leading tax engagements and supervising a team of support staff. Our position provides a unique opportunity for significant growth within our firm working directly with business owners and their financial professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a strong portfolio of auto dealership clients in addition to engagements across other industries
• Occasional travel to auto dealership industry conferences across the U.S. - typically 3 per year in notable locations (such as Las Vegas Napa and Charleston)
• Provide initial and/or final review support for federal state and multi-state individual tax returns for corporate business owners and high net worth individuals
• Build client relationships and serve as trusted advisor to effectively deliver superior client services
• Identify opportunities for value-added services and potential cross-selling of other firm services to existing clients
• Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to mentor train and develop staff members
• Support partner team in practice development; including attending conferences networking events and training and speaking engagements

Requirements

• 10 years of experience preparing and reviewing corporate and individual income tax returns
• Active CPA or EA
• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field
• Proficient in project management including scheduling budgeting client correspondence and research
• Strong attention to detail
• Integrity within a professional environment
• Experience with automotive retail industry or S-corps

Preferences

• Experience with CCH Axcess tax and Knowledge Coach
• Experience with automotive retail industry

Location
