We are currently recruiting for On-Call Firefighters at Tolvaddon Community Fire Station come and join our team!

This is a rewarding role for anyone looking to join Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service. You dont need to have any previous firefighting experience - just the passion to protect and help your community.
On-Call Firefighters have everyday lives and jobs until their alerter sounds and they become professional Firefighters responding to a range of operational incidents when required. Being a Firefighter is not just about fighting fires. An important part of todays service is fire and road safety prevention education and safeguarding. When an emergency does occur our Firefighters are fully trained and equipped to deal with a range of emergencies. On-Call Firefighters make up approximately 90% of emergency cover in the UKwhich makes them an invaluable part of our society.
Below is a table of the levels of contract that the service offer. These are weekly contracted hours and will be discussed in more detail with the station management team at the initial interview.
