Early Years Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

We are seeking an enthusiastic resilient and dedicated Early Years Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide essential learning and care support for individual children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within our nurturing environment.

The Role: Making a Difference

This is a Full-Time Permanent role (36 hours) where you will be instrumental in helping children achieve the outcomes set out in their Individual Support Plans and Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities Include:

Individual Support: Building positive supportive relationships with children to promote high self-esteem independence and social inclusion.
Curriculum Delivery: Working alongside the class teacher(s)/ SENDCo to plan and deliver tailored engaging and inspiring activities both indoors and outdoors.
EYFS Expertise: Supporting children with their routines transitions and holistic development across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Wellbeing: Actively supporting childrens social emotional and mental health needs while promoting high standards of behaviour.
Collaboration: Providing regular feedback monitoring progress and building strong positive relationships with parents/carers and external professionals.

You are a proactive team player with a genuine enjoyment of working with children and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for all.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

GCSEs (or equivalent) including at least Grade 4/C in English and Maths.
Full and relevant Early Years Qualification (e.g. NNEB BTEC CC NVQ Level 3 or above).
Experience working in a school or educational setting.
Proven experience working with children/young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Experience in the Early Years sector including Nursery provision.

Key Skills & Qualities:

Excellent literacy numeracy and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum.
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations and act as an excellent role model.
Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
A resilient positive and enthusiastic attitude about making a difference.
