Position Title: Registered Nurse Psych
Location: Cooperstown NY 13326
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Hours: 36 hours per week
Compensation: $2361.96 per week (travel contract)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Cooperstown NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health nursing care to patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment the ability to de-escalate crisis situations and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
Participate in crisis intervention de-escalation techniques and behavioral management.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with psychiatrists therapists and interdisciplinary team members.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric nursing experience required.
Licenses & Certifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact as applicable).
COVID-19 vaccination card required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA certified required.
