Job Summary

Leidos is an innovation company rapidly addressing the worlds most vexing challenges in national security and health. Our Global Supply Chain organization is seeking an Associate Subcontracts Specialist to support the programs proposals and business objectives of the National Security Sector. This role is the entry point into learning and performing full life cycle (cradle-to-grave) subcontract management activities supporting primarily US Government programs. Initially this role will support a variety of Programs with direct impact to National Security.

In this role you will manage the overall subcontracting process which complies with contract requirements company policies and procedures and applicable laws and acquisition regulations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented who can work both independently and as part of a team. They will be the primary interface between subcontractors and the program for the contractual management of agreements typically of a low-to-medium dollar value risk creativity and complexity and will interact with other functional areas (e.g. program management contracts project control finance growth etc.) to complete the necessary activities for the portfolio theyre assigned.

Primary Responsibilities.

While not an exhaustive list activities in the subcontracting process that are responsibilities of this role are supporting proposal activities (e.g. negotiation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements preparation of solicitation packages from customer requirements evaluation of subcontractor proposals price analysis negotiation of price and terms and conditions etc.) and subcontract award and post-award management (e.g. subcontract modifications risk identification & mitigation issue resolution internal reporting closeout activities etc.). The complexity of assignments will increase with demonstrated proficiency judgement and business acumen.

Basic Qualifications.

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Must be able to clearly articulate statuses and issues to management internal partners and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Undergraduate degree preference: Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
  • Experience awarding and managing subcontracts in a government approved purchasing system including a basic knowledge of the requirements of the FAR and DFARS
  • Experience negotiating price and terms and conditions
  • Experience negotiating facility maintenance agreements
  • Working experience with automated purchasing system (preferably Deltek Costpoint and iValua)

Active Security clearance preferred but not required.

Were not looking for perfectly polished resumes or perfect fits. Were looking for people who break limits ask hard questions and dont wait to be told whats next. At Leidos were not following the roadmap were redrawing it.

Pay Range $57850.00 - $104575.00
