Meet the team:

We areseekinga highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist withexpertisein advanced mass spectrometry techniques to join our polymer characterization team.

The successful candidate will lead analytical efforts usingLC-QTOFASAP/MS MALDI-MS and Pyrolysis GC-MS to investigate polymer composition architecture degradation and performance.

This role is critical to supporting R&D product development and quality assurance across a range of polymeric materials.

Where you come in:

  • You will serve asa SMEin a cross-functional team driving technicalsolutionordecisionpertinent to analytical matters.

  • You will work with cross-functional teams to organize in-take as well as providing advice on material supply biocompatibility safety scalability and otheroperation relateddesign inputs and consultation.

  • You willidentifycritical material and process attributes develop and implement analyticalinstrumentand test methods for in-process and material quality control under Dexcom QMS systems.

  • You will apply design of experiment and statistical analysis to drive the evidence-based conclusion and recommendation author technical report and protocol present results for stage-appropriate technical design review and decision making.

  • You understand and apply basic laboratory safety protocols chemical hygiene anddisposechemical waste according to company and local EHS regulations.

  • Havestrong technicalexpertiseto buildup new capabilities and workflowsfor the team. Educate and influence stakeholderson the best path byutilizingstatistical analysis to make data-based conclusions.

  • Strong experiences on thermal characterizations such as TGA DSCRheometerand being able to build up the correlations of different polymer properties.

  • Design and execute experiments usingLC-QTOFASAP/MS MALDI-MS and Pyrolysis GC-MS for detailed polymer analysis.

  • Characterize polymer structures additives degradation products and crosslinking behavior.Strong NMR background will be a plus.

  • Interpret mass spectral data to elucidate polymer architecture molecular weight distribution and fragmentation pathways.

  • Collaborate with synthetic chemists materials scientists and product development teams to support innovation and troubleshooting.

  • Be ready and willing to learn andoperateother types of analyticalinstrumentationsbased on business needs.

Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree ina technical discipline and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Mastersdegree and 2-4 years equivalent industryexperience or a PhD and 0-2 years ofexperience.
