Position Summary

Enjoy a great work life balance at our dialysis clinic located in Forest Park. Our Forest Park location is open 6 days a week offering early morning shifts beginning at 4:45AM to cater to our patients schedules. Patient sessions run from 5:30AM to 6:30PM. As a dialysis technician youll work 3 days a week with every other Saturday included. Our facility features 24 dialysis stations and a team consisting of 6 Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians and 2 Registered Nurses.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Arranges and maintains equipment and supplies for performance of dialysis and other procedures including preparation of Dialysate solutions.

  • Performs cannulation initiates monitors and discontinues dialysis treatment.

  • Observes and monitors patient vital signs and significant dialysis treatment parameters; assesses patient signs and symptoms and provides treatment accordingly.

  • Communicates pertinent patient information or changes in patient condition to the team leader; documents these results per units policies.

  • Transports weighs and assists patients to and from wheelchairs stretchers and chairs.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and responds to patient concerns in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date

Salary Range

$17.34 - $25.40 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including ones qualifications and performance equity with others in the department market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
