Work hours: Full Days 40 hour work week 7:30-4pm

Heres What You Need

BSN Required upon hire.

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.

BLS (AHA) prior to providing independent patient care.

CPI training within 90 days of hire

Certification in CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) OR CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse) OR CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse)within 12 months of hire

2 years of strong RN experience in acute care or wound care setting required

Charge/preceptor skills preferred

In addition to the required qualifications a successful RN will

Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain a positive customer-focused attitude toward patients

Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

Have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

What You Will Do

Responsible for delivery of wound care treatments as ordered by Physician.

Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.

Ensure communication with other care providers is timely accurate and complete.

Post-operative patient/family teaching and discharge instructions referrals and supply needs.

Utilizes evidence-based practice to administer wound and ostomy care.
