The Opportunity

The FinancialServices program provides centralized budget accountingpayroll and benefits to support the agency and program operations. Financial Services works to ensure budget and accounting operations are completed incompliance with state and federal guidelines as well as agency policies and procedures.

The OneWashington project is a statewide effort to modernize the states financial and human resource management systems. The current phase of this project is focused on modernizing our Accounting and Budget systems and transitioning to the Workday platform. This position will serve as a trainer for this project for the agency. This position will develop training resources curriculum job aides and facilitate in person or online trainings for staff on various topics related to the OneWashington project. This position will be responsible for implementing the Workday training plan and schedule for the OneWashington project. This position provides advice consultation and analysis in regards to training in relation to the OneWashington project.

Duties will include leading trainings (in-person and virtual) connecting participants with subject matter experts as needed as well as overseeing registration and attendance. This position will gather and synthesize feedback and other impact metrics. This position will work with other project team members contractors and subject matter experts to develop and facilitate effective trainings.

Important Notes

WSDA is recruiting for a full-time Non-Permanent Management Analyst 5 position within the Directors Office. This position is located in Olympia Washington. This is a non-represented position.

The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidates job-related knowledge skills and experience. The typical starting salary for this position is: $76968 - $100980 annually.


Duties

What to Expect
Some of the various responsibilities within this role:

  • Facilitate train and coach managers staff and teams towards integrating quality improvement change management and project management methodologies into daily work.
  • Deliver training and other learning development strategies for equipping leaders and staff with skills and knowledge appropriate for their roles and skill levels.
  • Work with stakeholders to discover training needs and gaps.
  • Oversee training related and project related documents reports and meeting minutes etc. by ensuring all necessary materials are current properly filed and stored following records retention schedule.
  • Measure and assess training effectiveness through metrics; develop executive action plans based on results.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and develop strategies to effectively respond to current and emerging business needs.
  • Write training curriculum for staff across the agency on OneWashington related topics
  • Create job aide documents and manuals for agency specific processes based on created process maps and information about the Workday system.
  • Develop curriculum for staff training new systems and procedures in collaboration with Communications and subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Human Resources team to ensure developed resources meet agency standards.
  • Gather job and business information necessary to design and develop training content and curriculum.
  • Create and maintain agency OneWashington training SharePoint site in collaboration with project team. Ensuring the most current information is presented to staff.
  • Compile and create necessary training reports plans or materials in response to assignments from OFM.
  • Develop and oversee process to control the quality accuracy consistency and timing of training.
  • Conduct research as needed to design and develop training content and curriculum to define and diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with project team and agency teams to develop training content and curriculum to defined and diverse audience.
