Role Overview

As the Art Technician you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Art & Design department. Your responsibilities will include preparing and organising materials for lessons setting up practical resources assisting with demonstrations ensuring equipment is safe and ready to use and helping maintain a structured inspiring learning environment. You will work closely with a team of dedicated Art teachers and contribute to lessons covering drawing painting mixed media printmaking textiles digital artwork and 3D design.

Key duties include:

• Preparing equipment materials and classroom resources for KS3KS4 Art lessons

• Supporting students during practical activities offering guidance with tools and materials

• Maintaining cleaning and organising specialist equipment tools and classroom spaces

• Managing stock levels ordering supplies and maintaining departmental inventory

• Assisting with photography digital editing and preparation of artwork for assessment

• Helping curate displays around the school to celebrate student creativity

• Supporting with after-school clubs exhibitions and coursework organisation where needed
