Summary:
-
Perform on- and off-aircraft electrical modifications including wiring and system component work.
-
Execute complex connector terminations (shielded wires coaxial cables fiber optics).
-
Read and interpret engineering drawings technical orders specifications and retrofit requirements.
-
Route handle seal wrap bond tie and close wire harnesses and cables per standard processes.
-
Assemble install inspect modify and test wire bundles and electrical assemblies; ensure compliance with government and company procedures.
-
Troubleshoot moderate-difficulty electrical and environmental system issues at organizational or depot level.
-
Conduct bench and flight-line operational testing in accordance with DoD manufacturer and company directives.
-
Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality.
-
Diagnose and correct assembly process malfunctions.
-
Maintain required certifications licenses and safety compliance including Hazardous Energy/Lockout-Tagout.
-
Support and train junior employees; may lead teams on complex tasks.
-
Prioritize work to meet project schedules; assist other teams as needed (General Mechanics Structures Avionics).
-
Adhere to SA Tool and FOD procedures.
Requirements:
-
Obtain Secret Clearance Post-Start
-
High school diploma/GED and typically 4 years of related experience or equivalent.
-
4 years of experience performing the listed electrical/electronic duties.
-
Knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and systems.
-
Ability to work rotating shifts.
-
Lift up to 35 lbs; occasional two-person lifts for >50 lbs.
-
Ascend/descend vertical ladders; work in confined spaces; stand walk reach overhead frequently.
-
Work at heights on elevated platforms and in noisy environments.
-
Use required PPE (safety shoes eye protection etc.).
-
Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
-
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
-
Ability to work rotating shifts weekends holidays and overtime as required.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
