LOCATION: San Antonio TX
PAY RATE: $43.05/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform on- and off-aircraft electrical modifications including wiring and system component work.

  • Execute complex connector terminations (shielded wires coaxial cables fiber optics).

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings technical orders specifications and retrofit requirements.

  • Route handle seal wrap bond tie and close wire harnesses and cables per standard processes.

  • Assemble install inspect modify and test wire bundles and electrical assemblies; ensure compliance with government and company procedures.

  • Troubleshoot moderate-difficulty electrical and environmental system issues at organizational or depot level.

  • Conduct bench and flight-line operational testing in accordance with DoD manufacturer and company directives.

  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality.

  • Diagnose and correct assembly process malfunctions.

  • Maintain required certifications licenses and safety compliance including Hazardous Energy/Lockout-Tagout.

  • Support and train junior employees; may lead teams on complex tasks.

  • Prioritize work to meet project schedules; assist other teams as needed (General Mechanics Structures Avionics).

  • Adhere to SA Tool and FOD procedures.

Requirements:

  • Obtain Secret Clearance Post-Start

  • High school diploma/GED and typically 4 years of related experience or equivalent.

  • 4 years of experience performing the listed electrical/electronic duties.

  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and systems.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

  • Lift up to 35 lbs; occasional two-person lifts for >50 lbs.

  • Ascend/descend vertical ladders; work in confined spaces; stand walk reach overhead frequently.

  • Work at heights on elevated platforms and in noisy environments.

  • Use required PPE (safety shoes eye protection etc.).

  • Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.

  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts weekends holidays and overtime as required.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Depot-level/modification maintenance experience.

  • Ability to operate forklift mobile crane or powered elevating equipment.
