About the Role Were looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) who can manage optimize and secure mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with database performance tuning high availability backup strategies and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across large-scale enterprise systems.
Youll work closely with engineering DevOps infrastructure and application teams to support database planning upgrades monitoring and troubleshooting. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems improving system performance and contributing to long-term database strategy.
Responsibilities -
Install configure and maintain SQL and NoSQL database systems in production and staging environments.

Monitor database performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities.

Implement database security controls user access management and encryption policies.

Manage database backup and recovery processes and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

Handle database replication clustering and high-availability environments.

Perform schema design data modeling capacity planning and storage optimization.

Troubleshoot complex issues related to query performance locking deadlocks and connectivity.

Support database patching version upgrades and regular maintenance activities.

Automate administrative tasks with scripting languages like PowerShell Python or Bash.

Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams to enhance database reliability.

Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and operational manuals.
Required Skills & Experience -
12 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.

Strong expertise in MS SQL Server / Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB (as applicable).

Proven experience in performance tuning query optimization and indexing strategies.

Solid understanding of backup plans restore procedures HA & DR configurations (AlwaysOn RAC Clustering Replication).

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and managed database services.

Familiarity with Linux/Windows servers shell scripting and automation tools.
-
Knowledge of data security auditing compliance and best practices.
-
Strong problem-solving and communication skills with ability to support cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have -
Experience with database monitoring tools like SolarWinds Dynatrace New Relic Grafana Prometheus etc.

Exposure to DevOps pipelines CI/CD Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible etc.).
