Job Summary

MEG / Research MRI Technologist Radiology Full-Time Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled MEG/Research MRI Technologist to join a specialized radiology team focused on advanced neuroimaging and research. This role supports both clinical and research studies using MRI and Magnetoencephalography (MEG) technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong MRI experience excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small cohesive team environment.

Compensation & Schedule
  • Compensation: $50 $60 per hour depending on experience

  • Schedule: Final hours are still being determined. The team is exploring 10-hour shifts to support coverage between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM

  • Weekends: No current weekend coverage (subject to change)

  • Holidays: Limited coverage; only required for helium fills (no patient care on holidays)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with established safety and imaging protocols

  • Support clinical and research studies involving MEG a neuroimaging modality used for functional brain assessment and epilepsy localization

  • Assist in preparing patients and ensuring safe efficient workflow throughout the imaging process

  • Collaborate with a small highly coordinated imaging team to maintain consistency quality and operational coverage

  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory clinical and research requirements

  • Engage in a learning-oriented environment - MEG is highly specialized and training will be provided as needed

Qualifications

MEG-Research MRI Technologist (

  • At least 3 years of MRI experience - Required

  • MRI Technologist (MR) certification from ARRT - Required upon hire

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required

  • Radiologic Technology program completion (typically a 2-year Associates level program) - Required

  • Experience in clinical research MEG or cryogen safety - Preferred

  • Prior experience in a hospital or university setting (e.g. research hospitals or academic medical centers) - Strongly preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in a small team with emphasis on communication and cohesion

This role supports a high-volume MEG program - one of the busiest clinical MEG sites in North America. MEG experience is rare and candidates with strong MRI backgrounds who want to expand into advanced neuroimaging will be fully considered.
