Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Creates a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer and ensures that the environment is safe for team members patients and visitors within the department.

• Works with the manager to evaluate and determine work assignments. Evaluates job performance and recognizes performances.

• Maintains and improves patient access service standards developed for each modality and ensures schedules are maximized.

• Maintains adequate staffing levels to meet demand based on established benchmarks.

• Applies standards and guidelines that ensure high quality and service in the daily work of the department.

• Works collaboratively with others (i.e. medical staff managers/team members from other departments and divisions) to promote communication and to achieve goals by working interdependently.

• Develops coordinates and maintains performance improvement criteria and manages quality assurance and quality improvement activities within the imaging department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in radiology science business education or related fields

• One year of experience in radiology American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)/ARRT (if a licensed radiographer)

• Wisconsin license (if a licensed radiographer)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to move freely (standing stooping walking bending pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.

• Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.

• Occasional high noise level in work environment. Possible exposure to communicable diseases hazardous materials and pharmacological agents.

• Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients.
