The Role: Financial Manager
This role exists to lead the full financial function of the manufacturing facility ensuring robust financial governance accurate reporting and strong commercial decision support. You will partner closely with operations and production teams to drive efficiency enforce financial discipline and enhance cost and performance visibility across the business. The focus is on tightening controls improving systems and supporting sustainable growth through strategic financial leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Bring a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a Financial Manager within manufacturing

Oversee the full financial management of the facility including reporting controls and compliance
-
Lead cash flow planning forecasting and liquidity management
-
Implement cost-saving initiatives and enforce strict production-related financial discipline

Strengthen operational and financial controls across production and supply chain
-
Support manufacturing teams with accurate data-driven insights and reporting
-
Ensure accuracy of BOMs costing stock MRP data and production performance metrics
-
Prepare monthly management accounts budgets and variance analysis
-
Maintain full compliance with South African financial tax and statutory standards
-
Drive system improvements and optimise ERP/MRP utilisation
-
Lead mentor and develop finance team members
-
Oversee the rollout and implementation of a Provident Fund as a key strategic project
About You
-
5 to 7 years of experience as a Financial Manager in manufacturing
-
Relevant SA financial qualification (BCom SAICA/SAIPA/AGA(SA) or CIMA completed)
-
FMCG experience is highly advantageous; detergent manufacturing experience is a strong plus
-
Advanced Microsoft Excel capability (pivot tables modelling complex formulas)

Skilled in ERP/MRP systems within a production environment
-
SQL knowledge or experience working with SQL databases (advantageous)

Strong understanding of cost control production finance and cash flow management
-
High attention to detail with an analytical improvement-driven approach
-
Strong communication skills able to influence and hold teams accountable

Commercially minded proactive and hands-on in supporting operations
