Responsibilities:
- Perform fleet and garage audits at branch locations and follow up to ensure action items are completed
- Monitor operational metrics and collaborate with branch leaders and maintenance providers to plan and coordinate R&M activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Own the accuracy of asset and contact data used by Fleetio for push notifications to occur to end-users. Monitor Fleetios automated push notifications for scheduled PMs and defect resolution. Work closely with parties to resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with maintenance providers to prioritize work orders allocate resources and coordinate maintenance activities effectively based on operational needs.
- Manage preventative maintenance (PM) task lists and schedules used by maintenance providers to increase equipment lifespan and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.
- Approves repairs following defined spend parameters.
- Manage State and DOT programs performed by maintenance providers so Brinks vehicles remain compliant with regulatory standards.
- Ensures compliance with OEM safety and quality standards by managing the distribution and follow-up of Service Bulletins and Campaign Directives to maintenance providers.
- Serve as the on-duty point of contact to Operations for swift coordination of emergency roadside services performed by third-party vendors.
- Act on all accident management-related inquiries/tasks.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to maintenance technicians and operators to promptly resolve upfit-related issues such as onboard security telematics and camera malfunctions.
- Monitor and analyze vehicle performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize repair and maintenance strategies.
- Other role-related tasks.
Education
- A high school diploma or GED an associate or bachelors degree in logistics business or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role or within a fleet or transportation environment.
Skills & Abilities
- Leadership & Communication: Effective communication strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate teams are crucial.
- Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy including experience with fleet management software spreadsheets and databases is essential.
- Operational Skills: You should have strong organizational skills be detail-oriented and possess excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to manage fleet operations efficiently.
- Safety & Compliance: A thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance are also vital.
Certifications
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Fleet Management Operations (CFMO) or Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) are preferred.
