Tendeg LLC is a premier spacecraft deployables company. Our novel designs are enabling exciting missions providing high gain antennas for sensor applications and communications. We have 12 antennas on-orbit and 20 flight deliverables occurring in 2025. Our missions include Earth Science (weather surface deformation and change); LEO GEO and lunar communications; synthetic aperture radar (SAR); and unique radio frequency sensors for commercial and government applications. Title: Technician II

Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $35.00 - $37.00/Hourly (Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data)

Location: Louisville CO

Position Purpose: The Technician II will be responsible for the assembly of precise mechanical components for space flight use.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read understand and execute work instructions to build mechanical assemblies and write assembly procedures.
  • Responsible for using high precision measurement equipment for tool creation and quality control inspection.
  • Assemble and verify precision tooling and spaceflight hardware using metrology equipment such as laser trackers and scanners.
  • Perform fine detail assembly for spaceflight with delicate parts
  • Maintain and inspect all flight hardware and assemblies to verify company product standards.
  • Communicate with engineers and the production team to create and improve designs for tooling and for minor flight hardware changes.
  • Verify final built configuration of assemblies match engineering detailed in the work instructions and assembly drawing.
  • Identify non-conforming parts during the build process by referencing engineering documentation.
  • Take ownership and maintain build documentation for assemblies being built. Including filling out work instructions non-conformance reports and logging time against the applicable work order.
  • Be willing to cross train in multiple areas of specialty.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • 5-12 years of experience needed in mechanical assembly
  • Technical school degree and certification for technicians; license as required by state
  • MUST have experience performing light mechanical assembly
  • Technical writing skills preferred
  • Preferred experience with calibrated tools and equipments
  • Ability to read and work to engineering documentation
  • Excellent manual dexterity ability to handle small parts
  • Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with small tools used for handheld assembly
  • High standard of workmanship is a must
