Job Summary
As a Tracking Engineer at SIXT youll join the Tracking Tech Wing within our Online Data Engineering & Tracking (ODET) teama global platform team enabling marketing product and business decisions through advanced tracking and data engineering. Youll own and evolve our Google Marketing Platform ensuring accurate scalable tracking across web and app environments.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
- Own and maintain SIXTs Web & App Tracking Platform based on the Google Stack (Client-Side and Server-Side).
- Design implement and validate dataLayer user-behavior events and e-commerce tracking for flawless data capture.
- Manage global setup and maintenance of Google Analytics 4 (events conversions custom parameters).
- Collaborate with Marketing Product and Tech teams to ensure high-quality data flows into BigQuery S3 and other destinations.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in tracking setups propose solutions and improve data accuracy.
- Analyze user behavior across SIXT websites to optimize funnels KPIs and the digital consumer journey.
YOUR SKILLS MATTER
- Experience: 25 years as a Web & App Analytics Implementation Engineer or Digital Tracking Engineer in marketing/product environments.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Google Analytics 4 Google Tag Manager and Google Ads tracking; experience with global implementations.
- DataLayer Mastery: Expertise in dataLayer concepts debugging tracking issues and custom event tracking.
- Server-Side Knowledge: Familiarity with Server-Side Tracking (SSGTM SSGA4 SSGAds) and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
- App Tracking: Experience with Firebase Adjust (or AppsFlyer) and omnichannel data integration.
- Data & Compliance: Understanding of BigQuery or Redshift SQL proficiency and GDPR compliance (Consent Mode metadata management).
