Were seeking an experienced and ambitious finance professional to join our Business Finance team supporting Ramboll Germany.

Your new role

As our new Project Controller (m/f/d) you will work with the project team to deliver solutions to our clients. You will be part of the Henning & Larsen department in Germany. You will work as part of a lively team filled with people who are really excited about creating the exciting business proposals of the future. Our team is vibrant innovative international and supportive. You will collaborate with your colleagues to play a critical role in defining and delivering projects that involve global clients. Our team is known in Ramboll for being especially good at celebrating project milestones and colleague birthdays so you can expect to join for lots of celebrations.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Proactively manage the financial performance of your project portfolio driving value through revenue recognition risk management working capital optimisation and project monitoring. 
  • Champion financial governance by ensuring compliance with project accounting standards internal controls Rambolls policies and procedures tax statutory and audit requirements. 
  • Responsible for Project set-up and ongoing maintenance 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Rambolls financial processes and systems. 
  • Provide financial advice to stakeholders identifying risks and opportunities early and offering practical data-driven solutions. This may include participation in tender reviews. 
  • Apply an innovative mindset to streamline and enhance financial operations. 
  • Support change initiatives with agility helping teams adapt to evolving business priorities. 
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with Business Controllers Project Managers and senior leadership. 
  • Partner with our India-based support team to ensure timely and accurate project maintenance and billing. 

 

About you

Were looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a growth mindset and a collaborative spirit. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development for this role we have identified some qualifications skills and capabilities that will set you up for success.  

These include:  

  • 3-5 years related experience in Project Controlling for Professional Services organisations or Consultancy with advanced skills applying Project Controlling best practices 
  • Minimum a Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Proficient use of Cost Accounting Systems to run monitor and bill projects demonstrating advanced skills in applying Project Controlling best practices 
  • Proficient using Office 365 including strong excel skills and good understanding of how to use Power BI or similar 
  • Excellent communication in English (written and verbal) and some German language skills are needed as well as interpersonal and organisation skills 
  • Critical thinking strong data-driven analytical skills and a high attention to detail 
  • Able to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with stakeholders 
  • Track record of getting involved in (and perhaps driving) initiatives that drive improvement in your domain 
  • Ability to successfully lead meetings in virtual settings where most stakeholders and team members are in different locations
