The role of a Communications Officer:
Communicate Zions Banks position as Utahs top small business lender No. 1 bank in deposit market share and supporter of the community.
Reinforce the banks community brand by supporting branch programs and targeting media for maximum local exposure.
Build strong relationships with reporters/editors/news directors and branch managers in local communities.
Manage bankwide major PR events
Amplify sponsorships charitable giving and the banks financial education efforts
Support copywriting requests for flyers brochures emails and advertising
Write copy for social media external blog and internal communications.
Work closely with other communications staff as well as with other departments to ensure strategic coordination and implementation of all communications.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Communications Journalism Public Relations English or a related field and experience in writing editing and producing print and/or electronic communications or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Ability to collaborate with business line leaders to support bank goals through public relations.
Creative contributor strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
Strong organizational time management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to express ideas clearly concisely and accurately in written and verbal form.
