The role of a Communications Officer:

• Communicate Zions Banks position as Utahs top small business lender No. 1 bank in deposit market share and supporter of the community.

• Reinforce the banks community brand by supporting branch programs and targeting media for maximum local exposure.

• Build strong relationships with reporters/editors/news directors and branch managers in local communities.

• Manage bankwide major PR events

• Amplify sponsorships charitable giving and the banks financial education efforts

• Support copywriting requests for flyers brochures emails and advertising

• Write copy for social media external blog and internal communications.

• Work closely with other communications staff as well as with other departments to ensure strategic coordination and implementation of all communications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Communications Journalism Public Relations English or a related field and experience in writing editing and producing print and/or electronic communications or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

• Ability to collaborate with business line leaders to support bank goals through public relations.

• Creative contributor strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent attention to detail.

• Strong organizational time management and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to express ideas clearly concisely and accurately in written and verbal form.
