Job Summary
We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist on behalf of a respected optical provider in Derby for their brand new store opening doors very soon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality eye care services including eye examinations diagnosis and treatment of visual conditions. A strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages especially seniors is essential.
Tasks
Duties:
-Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye health issues
-Prescribe corrective lenses and relevant treatment plans
-Educate patients on maintaining eye health and proper eyewear care
-Accurately maintain patient records and documentation
-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
-Keep up to date with advancements in optometry and best practices
-Support community outreach initiatives promoting eye health
Requirements
Requirements:
-Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
-Valid optometry license in the UK
-Strong understanding of visual system anatomy
-Excellent interpersonal and patient care skills
-Comfortable working with elderly patients
-Proficiency in using optometric diagnostic equipment
