Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a MAcr / FS Aircrew WSOp (RW) CMN - to serve as Full Time Reserve Qualified Helicopter Crewman Instructor at No.1 Flying Training School RAF Shawbury on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of being not before 01 April 2026.

The primary role is to develop B2 B1 and potential A2 QHCIs displaying the highest professional standards of instruction standardisation and airmanship both on the ground and in the air.

The incumbent will be required to:

Maintain flying currency as laid down in the MAARP GASOs and the Shawbury FOB.
Write End of Phase Reports and draft End of Course Reports for allocated trainees.
Complete and maintain the course report folder for qualified Instructors
Carry out Squadron Duties including that of Duty Authoriser
