Funder Relations Manager
Introduction

A vacancy exists for a Funder Relations Manager based at Life Head Office reporting to Funders & Health Policy Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the negotiation process with key funders and to contribute to the overall group strategy. The incumbent will also be responsible for the development and delivery of the business agenda in respect of reimbursement models and to support growth initiatives for the group.

Critical Outputs

Funders:

Management of Funder Stakeholders through:
  • Participating in yearly tariff negotiations
  • Gaining an understanding of Medical Scheme contracts
  • Participating in the annual tariff negotiation processes
  • Building a business relationship with key stakeholders
  • Understanding the preferred network arrangements which exist in the industry reviewing the Life Healthcare arrangements and understanding where there are opportunities and where we are at risk.
  • Leading the development of innovative products and reimbursement models
Strategy:

Delivery of strategy through:
  • Participating in the development of strategy
  • Participating in the communication roll-out of the strategy
  • Providing support on business growth initiatives by assisting the team with key aspects
  • Involvement in strategic projects. At this stage the projects include:
  • Developing new innovative clinical reimbursement models
  • Contributing to the rolling out the Hospital efficiency program
Requirements
  • Ideally the incumbent should have a health commerce or related qualification.
  • 10 years relevant Industry experience
  • Understanding of the private healthcare industry its challenges and role players would be an advantage
