Job Summary

Introduction

Are you a trade-tested Refrigeration Technician with proven experience in complex pharmaceutical/FMCG environments Our client a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled technician to join their fast-paced maintenance team in Cape Town.

Experience needed:

Willingness to take on standby and call-out responsibilities in a mission-critical production environment.
Ability to work with automation projects and electronic record-keeping tools (Syspro DMS job cards).
Skilled in fault finding root cause analysis and technical problem-solving across complex refrigeration systems.
Proven ability to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance with a focus on plant availability above 90%.
Strong knowledge of cGMP practices and ISO standards ensuring compliance in a regulated environment.
Hands-on experience with specialised pharmaceutical/ FMCG refrigeration systems including:
- Freeze Driers
- Ammonia Plants
- Chillers & Cooling Towers
- Cold/Freezer Rooms & Big Freezers
- RO-Water & Effluent Systems

Requirements

Qualified artisan Trade Test in Refrigeration.
35 years experience in refrigeration maintenance within FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Computer literacy (MS Word Excel Access Projects).
Strong focus on Health & Safety trained or willing to be trained as First Aider Fire Fighter or H&S Rep.
Reliable detail-oriented and able to thrive under pressure in a compliance-driven environment.
