Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Position: Quantity Surveyor
Ref: 5123
Location: Mthatha / surrounding areas
Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience accommodation on a single status arrangement (shared bathroom and communal areas) subsistence allowance whilst staying away from home travel arrangements for 1 x trip home per month
Qualifications / Requirements:
Active and valid registration with the SACPCMP council
Experience from a contractor environment (NOT consulting or civils)
Tertiary Degree/Diploma
Professional registration: SA Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession and/or ASAQS/MBA
5 years technical experience
Prepared to travel to and from site and endure heavy work-load and long hours
Computer literate
Managing performance mentoring skills team morale and effectivenes
Advise on legalities and common law requirements
Capital expenditure
Compilation of legal claims
Compilation of reports
Contract amendments and bulletins
Contracts understanding
Drafting of compliance notices and agreements
Leasing arrangements
Measurement skills
Risk analysis and management
Ensure a clear understanding of the customer requirements and provide astute alternatives as an expert advisor
Provide a best practice service and built sustainable relationships with key parties
Manage nominated domestic and labour only sub-contract agreements and negotiate the best sub-contractors for the work
Desired Experience & Qualification
