Responsibilities

• Leads multiple project teams of other designers and internal and outsourced partners responsible for all stages of industrial design and development for a portfolio of complex products and platforms including design architecture language validation and specifications.

• Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners on industrial design and development.

• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with industrial design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and user experience.

• Manages implementation schedule including coordinating timelines with internal project managers and external partners.

• Provides domain-specific expertise and overall industrial design leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects programs and activities.

• Showcases the ability to execute the vision create detailed roadmaps and drive technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives.

• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities in the industrial design organization.

• Develops continual improvement roadmaps and oversees the deployment of these strategies across multiple functions.

• Guides the project team to meet schedules and milestones with high performance.

• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Design Product Design or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

• 7-10 years of work experience preferably in industrial design and development of physical hardware products and systems or a related field.

The pay range for this role is$115850to$178400USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location job-related knowledge skills and experience.
