The Academic Interventionist is a member of the Response to Intervention Team who reports directly to the Head of School. When educators like you join The Oaks Academy they experience a renewed love of teaching and caring for the unique learning needs of children.

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Head of School Director of K-2 Director of RTI and lead teachers to identify the literacy and math needs of students to set learning goals and targets and to problem-solve with teachers to develop best practices for continuous academic growth of students.
- Assists teachers with the collection of data and analysis of data
- Teaches targeted literacy and math interventions to individual and small groups of students using research-based strategies and provided instructional resources
- Coordinates site testing
- Attends professional development to enhance knowledge of pedagogy and content especially literacy and math
- Maintains and submits accurate and up-to-date records of all students progress
Founded in 1998 The Oaks Academy is a Christ-centered school that exists to provide a rich classical education to children of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds preparing them to succeed in a rigorous secondary educational program and to demonstrate spiritual social and emotional maturity. Currently on three campuses serving 1100 students The Oaks Academy continues to grow to serve more children.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Valid Indiana License for assigned student grade levels
- Three or more years of teaching ready and math with a proven track record of facilitating significant student gains
- Orton Gillingham certified (The Oaks is willing to provide this training)
- Devout Christian who is a member of or associated with or searching to be associated with a Christ-centered community of faith or church
