Job Summary

Lewis Rice LLC a large St. Louis law firm has an opening for an Eminent Domain Paralegal. This position requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of two years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate are preferred. The hours of the position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position offers an excellent salary commensurate with experience and an excellent comprehensive benefits package including major medical plans 401(k) plan and paid parking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of eminent domain cases
  • Draft and prepare pleadings discovery and other legal documents
  • Organize and maintain case files and evidence
  • Coordinate with clients experts and witnesses
  • Manage deadlines and court filings
  • Utilize technology resources to support attorneys and clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of education experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Strong organizational time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to utilize technology resources effectively
