About the Role
Our client a leading national insurance carrier is seeking a Regional Property Risk Engineering Manager to oversee a team of Risk Engineers supporting mid-size to large commercial property accounts. This leader will drive technical excellence ensure consistent risk assessment practices strengthen broker and client relationships and support profitable underwriting results across the region.
This is a highly visible role that blends people leadership technical expertise and strategic partnership with underwriting claims and distribution teams.
Compensation
- $160000 - $220000/year CAD

Job Requirements
- 710 years of experience in Property Risk Engineering Loss Control or Risk Management within commercial insurance.
- 3 years of leadership or team-lead experience preferred.
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Fire protection systems
- Construction types and materials
- COPE data and property risk scoring
- Manufacturing industrial or large commercial property risks
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Fire Protection Risk Management or related field (preferred).
- Professional designations such as CFPS PE ARM or CSP are a plus.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 4050%.
Job Description
- Lead mentor and develop a regional team of Property Risk Engineers.
- Conduct performance evaluations set goals and support ongoing technical training.
- Ensure consistent risk engineering methodologies and quality across the team.
- Partner with HR and Recruiting on hiring and workforce planning.
- Oversee risk assessments surveys loss analyses and engineering reports for commercial property accounts.
- Collaborate with Underwriting to support new business renewals and large-account opportunities.
- Serve as the regional point of contact for brokers clients and strategic partners.
- Identify emerging risk trends and contribute to product development and engineering standards.
