The Wireless Transceivers Group (WPG) is seeking a motivated experienced Analog/RF IC Design Engineer to provide support as a participating member of the design team located at ADIs Ottawa ON Canada. In this role the successful candidate will be working directly with a talented group of experienced designers working in state-of-the-art technologies and will be responsible for the design simulation and layout of circuit blocks.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Working within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Ottawa Raleigh and Greensboro.
  • Contributing to the detailed definition of high performance mixed signal devices.
  • IC block design transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
  • Using recommended design and verification techniques tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet all specified functional power and timing objectives.
  • Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems.
  • Collaboration and support for physical design lab evaluation and test to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements.
  • Collaborating with package and PCB designers by communicating electrical requirements building models and simulating complete solution in the application.

Minimum qualifications

  • Final year of a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or closely related discipline. Masters degree preferable.
  • Knowledge or design experience with circuits such as amplifiers PLLs VCO ADC/DACs bandgaps bias circuits LDOs switching power supply circuits etc. is an advantage.
  • The successful candidate could be expected to contribute to the development of new products from early feasibility to implementation and debug.
  • Candidates should have a good knowledge of analog and mixed signal electronics tools and flows. Experience using IC design tools such as Spectre and ADS and experience with lab test equipment desirable.
  • Strong inter-personal teamwork and communication skills are . Willingness to collaborate across a diverse team is a must.
  • High motivation and determination to succeed.
