Peer Recovery Support Specialist St. Ritas Medical Center
Job Summary:
The Peer Recovery Specialist provides direct patient care under the supervision of a designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal state and local regulations and within policies procedures and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH).
Essential Functions:
Facilitates individual and/or support groups (within scope) and may participate in family meetings and treatment team meetings.
Provides post-discharge follow-up along with community resource knowledge and navigation.
Delivers overdose prevention and education on Naloxone utilization.
Participates in continued education and in-service training.

Education:
High School Diploma/GED (required)
Licensing & Certifications:
Certified Peer Specialist per state guidelines (required)
National Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (preferred)
Experience:
1 year in healthcare social services or human services setting (required)
