As a Senior Scientist you will play a pivotal role in shaping evidence-based decisions that protect and enhance NSWs environment. You will work within a team of scientists in the Biodiversity Indicator Program to guide development and delivery of high-quality biodiversity reporting that informs decision making and supports better outcomes for nature across NSW. You will lead high quality scientific programs provide expert analysis and translate complex data into insights that support policy planning and conservation outcomes. With a commitment to scientific excellence and collaboration you will drive innovation and contribute to a culture that values knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
In this role you will work across multidisciplinary teams and partner with research organisations government agencies and stakeholders to deliver impactful science. You will guide project delivery manage resources and uphold rigorous scientific standards to ensure outcomes that support resilient ecosystems thriving communities and sustainable development across the state.

Who we are
DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.
DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
