Assistant Manager Blackburn Hotel
Were on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Blackburn Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals. A pillar in Melbournes east the Blackburn Hotel has everything you could ever want or need in your favourite local. Just a few minutes walk from Blackburn train station and a five minute drive from Box Hills central shopping strip were in the perfect position for locals and visitors alike.
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think youre part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly safely and with a great vibe
- Take pride in your presentation and professionalism leading from the front
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy the service and the smiles every single shift over a mix of days nights weekends opens mids and closing shifts
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock kegs and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- You want to have fund at work
- Youve been around the bar bistro or gaming room block and maybe already done some supervising and want to grow your career in a supportive venue
- Youve learned from great managers and now youre ready to step up
- Youve got the confidence pride and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- Youve got a current RSA RSG Modules and Victorian Gaming Licence as per state requirements
