Role
We are seeking a highly motivated passionate and experienced technical leader to drive Global Risk Management Transformation.
- As Director Credit Risk Technology you will partner with stakeholders in the Corporate and Commercial Credit Risk function and Business Lines to design and deliver innovative solutions.
- You will contribute to roadmap definition and implement the roadmap.
- In addition you will own a portfolio of applications and ensure IT risks are managed effectively on an ongoing basis.
Is this role right for you In this role you will:
- Collaborate with Corporate Commercial Credit Risk Commercial Credit Risk International Banking Credit Risk business lines Data Governance and Technology teams to drive the delivery of a transformation roadmap.
- Work closely with IT Architecture teams to ensure strong alignment with the banks architecture plans and global strategy including alignment to the banks goal to accelerate Cloud adoption.
- Lead development teams to build and maintain applications
- Independently conduct research and analysis to resolve highly complex multi-faceted problems to meet various design issues arising from projects by partnering with other teams in the Technology organization applying advanced financial and technological knowledge to the design of data system and process consensus and co-operation from business users and senior management. Document issues analysis and recommendations succinctly for business decisions.
- Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Banks business strategies and policies risk management practices and methodologies product offerings financial markets financial instruments regulatory requirements operational processes and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide solutions and services to the end user business lines.
- Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts retains develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define ongoing governance processes to ensure data assets meet data quality and compliance requirements
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role

- 10 years experience building software solutions in financial institutions including development and maintenance of public cloud solutions on-premise solutions and legacy systems.
- Strong knowledge of the Banks Corporate Functions in particular Credit Risk Corporate and Commercial bank operational processes & controls. Knowledge in other disciplines such as Finance and Corporate Treasury would be valuable assets.
- Have experience directing teams to design and implement modern technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge of requirements / design methodology detail oriented analytical and capable of investigating complex / technical issues and provide alternative solutions.
- Ability to understand and work in an area where technology regulations and product applications change constantly.
- Manage teams directly/ indirectly and effectively work as one-team.
- Strong knowledge of project methodologies including both Agile and Waterfall SDLC with proven track record to delivery on time and on budget.
- Excellent communication / presentation skills (both oral and written) as there would be frequent communications with lobal Risk Management plus other IT groups across the bank.
- Highly motivated and committed great team player capable of working in a dynamic environment with aggressive timelines multiple work streams running in parallel.
- Technical knowledge in modern data warehousing solutions web-based applications and experience with building modern solutions on public cloud such as GCP or Azure
