About the Role
Innovate BC is implementing a centralized CRM system to enhance stakeholder engagement aligned with its strategic goals. This initiative reflects Innovate BCs commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement in delivering high-impact programs and services. The Business Analyst at Innovate BC plays a critical role in ensuring the successful and smooth implementation of the CRM system.
The Business Analyst is accountable for supporting project execution from development through post-go-live. This position serves as a key liaison between Innovate BC teams and the external implementation partner driving coordination of project activities ensuring business requirements are fully met and facilitating a seamless system implementation. This role is responsible for designing and executing robust testing strategies enabling change management implementation and supporting data migration. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to delivering solutions that advance Innovate BCs mission.
Compensation: Semi-monthly pay of $2916.67-3750.00 (equivalent to $70000 $90000 annually) plus pay in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.
Reporting to: Director Data & Digital Transformation
Location: Vancouver BC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid role with a requirement to work in-office at least 2 days per week
Employment Type: Term Contract Full-Time ending April 30th 2026.
What You Will Be Doing
Business Execution:
- Assist the internal project lead (Director Data and Digital Transformation) in monitoring progress identifying risks and flagging issues promptly.
- Serve as a key point of contact between Innovate BCs internal teams and the external implementation partner to ensure all business requirements are successfully delivered at each project milestone.
- Assist in executing change management strategies to ensure user readiness.
Technical Delivery:
- Design detailed test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Build and coordinate an internal testing team.
- Ensure comprehensive execution of testing identify bugs and collaborate with the implementation partner for resolution.
- Support activities related to data migration and integration with existing systems.
- Prepare for and support go-live activities.
People Engagement:
- Facilitate effective collaboration and communication between Innovate BCs internal teams and the external implementation partner to ensure alignment.
- Lead and deliver user training sessions.
- Develop user guides and training materials.
- Provide post-go-live assistance to ensure smooth adoption.
- Communicate clearly and professionally and actively contribute to fostering a respectful and collaborative culture in daily work practices.

What You Will Need
Qualifications and Experience:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business Administration Information Systems Technology Management Computer Science or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of other relevant degrees and work experience may be considered.
- Business Analysis certification MBA PMP certification or other advanced credentials are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage; however they are not mandatory for this role.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in technology implementation or digital transformation projects.
- Proven hands-on experience with system testing data migration and change management strategies.
- Experience collaborating with external implementation partners or consulting teams is considered an asset.
Competencies Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Solid expertise in digital transformation strategies enterprise-level software implementation and organization-wide change management practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) testing methodologies and data migration principles.
- Ability to design document and execute complex test cases and scenarios ensuring full coverage of business requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build consensus across diverse teams.
- Ability to communicate with clarity and effectively in both written and verbal forms ensuring messages are understood by diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities capable of diagnosing complex issues and delivering actionable solutions.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to excel in dynamic and fast-paced environments while maintaining focus and delivering results.
- Proactive adaptable and skilled at anticipating risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
