The Opportunity Te Kōwhiringa
As the Regional Construction Manager youll provide strategic direction support local managers and ensure our projects are delivered safely efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Youll bring a collaborative approach strong commercial acumen and the ability to inspire high performance across multi-disciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading construction operations across the region to achieve business plans budgets and strategic goals
Driving growth by retaining and enhancing current business and identifying new opportunities
Ensuring best-practice contract project and quality management systems are in place
Championing Zero Harm and embedding safe behaviours across all teams
Coaching and developing managers and their teams ensuring clear goals regular reviews and strong succession planning
Building and maintaining strong proactive relationships with clients subcontractors suppliers and internal stakeholders
Managing regional resources including people plant and technology to maximise efficiency and returns
Providing accurate monthly reporting commentary and recommended actions
Contributing to wider strategic planning as part of the Taranaki Leadership Team
Important Skills Nga Pūkenga Matua
A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or business (preferred) or equivalent experience
5 years experience in leadership roles within construction or infrastructure
Proven success in managing operational performance plant and resources
Strong commercial and business development capability
A collaborative leadership style with high emotional intelligence
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work under pressure influence others and deliver results
A genuine commitment to Zero Harm sustainability and quality excellence
