Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 2 Job Responsibilities:
- Provides on site psychiatric consultations to medicine teams for patients with behavioral health needs
- Provides a collaborative and integrative approach to patient care throughout the patients medical admission.
- Works closely with Psychiatrist to evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders and/or SUDs performs risk assessments and determines level of care in coordination with multidisciplinary teams for patients with BH needs.
- May provide a range of brief evidence based therapeutic interventions crisis management safety assessments utilizing appropriate resources to assist the patient in achieving the goals and objectives for medical and psychiatric stabilization.
- Provides clear and consistent communication seamless coordination and effective interventions to optimize treatment outcomes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:Masters Degree Ph.D. PsyD EdD in Mental Health Social Work Counseling Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
- Experience: Minimum of two years experience working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association upon start. Vistelar certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
