Assistant Facility Director

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Directorto join our this leadership role you will work closely with the Facility Director to manage daily operations at our work release center. Summary

As theAssistant Director you will ensure the safety care and custody of our client population while maintaining compliance with Department of Corrections requirements and agency policies. You will oversee operations supervise staff and provide training to create a supportive professional and efficient environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelors degree and one year of experience in the delivery of services to residents offenders or inmates in the care custody or supervision of Federal state or local criminal justice system.
  • **Four years of additional experience in the delivery of services to residents offenders or inmates in the care or custody of a Federal state or local criminal justice system in a supervisory capacity may be substituted for the Bachelors degree.
  • Valid Florida drivers license.
  • Proficiency in report preparation including grammar and spelling.
  • Familiarity with the Work Release Inmate Management System (WRIMS) or similar systems.
  • Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds bend squat and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor staff providing training in safety communication and professionalism.
  • Conduct monthly operations and weekly staff meetings documenting meeting minutes.
  • Oversee facility maintenance food services inspections and inventory management.
  • Respond to facility emergencies such as fires floods or client incidents.
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide employment opportunities for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Corrections and agency policies.
  • Prepare monthly reports and submit documentation for invoicing.
  • Act as a role model embodying the agencys mission and vision.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facility Director or Leadership Team.
