This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national and award-winning Dispute Resolution team comprising over 100 lawyers across 13 national offices. The national Dispute Resolution team was awarded UK Litigation Team of the Year by The Lawyer Awards 2020 and the equivalent award by The British Legal Awards 2020 for taking on a major High Court group action against the Post Office which exposed one of the largest miscarriages of justice in British legal history.

The Milton Keynes team comprises 8 Property Litigation and Commercial Dispute Resolution solicitors a trainee solicitor and a legal assistant. The team has a number of dedicated Property litigators and offers excellent training and career prospects.
The teams specialisms and breadth of work is wide with involvement in high-value and complex disputes and projects across multiple sectors.
As a Property Litigation Senior Associate you will work alongside more senior members of the team and on your own matters handling high-value and complex property disputes and projects. You will be based in the firms Milton Keynes office.
The teams typical work is wide-ranging and you will be involved in diverse and challenging property litigation matters.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Handling all aspects of commercial landlord and tenant matters
Managing development disputes
Advising on disputes relating to land including easements restrictive covenants and rights to light
Working on high-value and complex property disputes and projects
Working alongside more senior members of the team on complex matters
Managing your own caseload of property litigation matters
Advising clients across multiple sectors including substantial regional businesses UK-wide clients and international clients
Advising household-name corporate clients
Building and developing client relationships
Contributing to business development activities
Providing exceptional client service with commercially focused advice
Staying current with developments in property litigation law and practice
Collaborating with colleagues across the national Dispute Resolution team
Essential Requirements:
3-7 years PQE with at least 3 years litigation experience
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
Excellent legal capability with strong attention to detail
Strong technical knowledge of litigation practice and procedure
Excellent drafting and advocacy skills
Strong client care skills with ability to build and maintain relationships
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
Commercially focused with pragmatic approach to problem-solving
Adaptable organised and enthusiastic
Eager to learn and develop within property litigation
Interest in business development
Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
Highly Desirable:
Knowledge of property litigation (though not essential as the team has dedicated Property litigators)
Experience handling commercial landlord and tenant matters
Experience with development disputes
Experience advising on disputes relating to land easements restrictive covenants and rights to light
Experience working on high-value and complex disputes
Experience advising corporate clients
Business development experience
