Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Regulatory and Business Initiatives Group globally ensuring specific individual goals plans initiatives are executed / delivered in support of Global Banking and Markets business strategies and objectives and in compliance with all relevant regulations. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations internal policies and procedures.

What Youll Do:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge. Build understanding of Banks risk appetite and risk culture to make effective decisions
  • Lead end to end delivery planning of assigned project(s) like ideation / interpretation of business needs business case approval establish project governance implementation plan and transition to BAU including budgeting & resourcing
  • Influence the decision-making process to ensure alignment to business priorities strategic technology architecture and resource allocation for assigned project(s)
  • Work independently and exercises judgement based on precedents with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Impact program design risk and delivery across business areas or subfunctions supported
  • Manage governance forums as required with primarily business stakeholders technology partners and other support functions
  • Responsible for interactions with all key stakeholders from business risk operations & technology teams including stakeholders in different geographic locations
  • Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
  • Champion a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment

What Youll Bring:

  • A Bachelors degree or higher preferably in Business Finance or Technology
  • PMP certification (active or in progress)
  • Proven experience managing projects within Capital Markets
  • Demonstrated success working on change management initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including leading meetings and preparing executive-level presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Arrangement:

This position is currently an onsite role with the expectation that you will work 4-5 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business. #LI-Onsite #GBM2025
