AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines Property Casualty Specialty Lines Cyber Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. How you will create an impact:

Evaluate prioritize and underwrite casualty submissions within delegated authority.
Analyze claims data and quantify loss trends to support pricing decisions.
Communicate risk appetite and casualty value proposition to brokers.
Collaborate with distribution and other line(s) of business underwriters to target desirable accounts and cross selling opportunities from brokers.
Work with brokers to understand deal structures terms and AIG Services that best meets clients needs.
Negotiate pricing terms & conditions and deal structure with brokers and clients.
Develop strong long-term relationships with brokers and clients to profitably grow a book of business.
Responsible for maintaining risk selection in adherence with product guidelines and for achieving rate renewal retention and new business goals.
Ensuring all files are well documented and comply with corporate standards.
Recognize and create cross-selling opportunities for other AIG General Insurance products.
Provide superior customer service to brokers and clients.
May require occasional travel to support broker and client relationship.
Work with center of excellence and/or shared services on policy administration.


What youll need to succeed:

Bachelors degree from a college or university preferred.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
Experience with pollution liability general liability environmental exposures or mining risks is a strong asset.
Demonstrated sales marketing and relationship building experience.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly motivated and results oriented.
Ability to work in dynamic rapidly changing environment adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.
Willingness to be flexible learn on the job and maintain a can-do attitude.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Comfort with analytical tools and technology.
A desire to stay up to date with industry legal & regulatory trends.
