The GCR team is part of EYs Exceptional Delivery Growth Engine (EDGE). The Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team comprises over 230 dynamic individuals spread across 16 countries and more than 31 offices. We have specialist tax and finance skill sets spanning the areas of Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting Service Management Indirect Tax Statutory Reporting Finance BPO Funds Tax Management and Payroll. We focus on supporting our clients in managing their compliance and reporting requirements centrally and locally and delivering on their transformation agendas. Our Multinational Tax Accounting Reporting and Compliance team work closely with the client group tax function acting as the primary point of contact and developing trusted business relationships across the account. We provide clients with global tax insights from their direct tax data across countries major legislative and business changes which need to be planned for and tax opportunities which could deliver value. Our unique position enables the team to build a wide network across EY service lines and countries as they bring together all of the EY services and expertise available to meet their client needs. Our team work exclusively on large multi-country compliance engagements providing the opportunity to work with some of EYs most complex corporate clients and giving a continued opportunity to learn and develop.

The opportunity

Join our fast-growing GCR team as a Tax Reporting Staff. The role will give you the opportunity to work on EYs largest multi-country client engagements in a tax accounting and direct tax capacity. The opportunity is for an individual with tax and accounting experience. You will work with your senior team members to assist clients in their tax accounting/ reporting process as well as help identify process improvements to streamline the tax accounting process.

The tax accounting portfolio will be complimented by multi-country direct tax portfolio where you will be the clients primary point of contact. You will be working with your seniors to share insights from their direct tax data across countries and identify tax opportunities to deliver value. You will be supported by a diverse team from seniors to partners working on clients together to deliver insight and value.

Your key responsibilities

Assisting in coordination of compliance process for big multinational companies

Supporting on monitoring tax legislative updates and opportunities globally

Preparing simplified tax provisions computations

Supporting in review of the local country tax outputs

Supporting in global tax analytics preparation in PowerBI

Point of contact for various EY Teams

Working with our team located in United Kingdom Belgium India and Poland as well as with Centers of Excellence in Philippines and Argentina.

Further development opportunities

Build/Develop your skills in tax and accounting area especially Corporate Income Tax and Tax Provision. We offer internal trainings as well as access to e-learning platform with various different trainings both technical and soft skills.

Opportunity to improve language skills not only English skills but other languages as well through daily communication with EY local offices (e.g. Spanish French).

Skills and attributes for success

Basic understanding of Financial Statements and Corporate Income Tax

Any work experience/internship in accounting or tax area is a plus

To qualify for the role you must have

Bachelor/masters degree in finance tax and/ or accounting

Half or 1 year of internship/full-time experience in the related field (income tax accounting business tax corporate income tax direct tax international tax)

Eagerness to learn new skills and work in an international environment

English language skills at B2-C1 level
