This Psychiatry Registrar training position involves providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for patients of Bendigo Health Mental Health Services including the ongoing clinical management of allocated patients and ensuring thorough documentation of all clinical matters. The role requires active liaison with multidisciplinary staff regarding patient care the preparation of reports for the Mental Health Tribunal (MHT) and attendance at hearings where appropriate. The registrar will participate in educational activities Quality Improvement initiatives team and departmental meetings ward rounds journal club and case conferences while also maintaining accurate records statistics and addition the position contributes to service development as required and undertakes any other duties delegated by the supervising Consultant Psychiatrist. Participation in the after-hours duty and on-call roster is also an essential component of the role.
