McCain Foods facility in Burley Idaho is a large-scale food processing plant employing approximately 700 employees. This site specializes in the production of frozen potato products. Fun Fact: 1 in 4 French fries are produced by McCain Foods.

Position Summary:

Responsible for insuring efficient movement including data entry into WMS tracking system of Packaging Department cribs of bulk product pallets and supplies. Additionally responsible for transporting cribs of waste product to outdoor delivery area.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transports cribs of bulk product to and from the crib off areas storage freezer and add back lines.
2. Accurately records movement of cribs and supplies in production area using WMS tracking system.
3. Weigh cribs of bulk product and waste.
4. Enters weight data on computer.
5. Maintains supply levels for packaging lines.
6. Delivers pallets of product requiring rework to packaging personnel.
7. Takes necessary precautions to avoid contaminating product.
8. Replaces and records the installation of forklift batteries.
9. Completes forklift checklist.
10. Communicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience with forklift operation is a plus.
• Must have the ability to read write and comprehend simple instructions.
• Must have ability to effectively present information before groups of customers or employees.
• Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units or measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals; along with the ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Must have demonstrated computer skills and experience with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced high stress environment where multi-tasking is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a factory issued lift truck operators license.

Physical Demand:

Constant: Sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally: Stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Compensation Package:$ - $ Starting at 21.16 USD hourly Bonus eligibility Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education and training and other organizational needs.
