FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: This is an hourly part-time position providing mentorship and advocacy for youth and families throughout Greene.
- The ideal candidate will be dependable committed and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community school and home settings.
- The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate organize plan develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
- All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
- This position offers flexible hours competitive weekly pay mileage ($0.50/mile) and activity reimbursement.
Hourly Rate: $21 per hour
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with at-risk youth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Reliable insured transportation valid drivers license and current auto insurance coverage.
