Center School/Transportation Options part of the Positive Regard Network invites applicants for Per Diem Monitor positions. Applicants must have a minimum HS Diploma/GED; college coursework and/or degree are preferred. Strong teamwork and verbal/written communication skills required. Experience working with students with special needs is strongly preferred. We are seeking applicants who are patient flexible and compassionate to our students needs as well as who are willing to learn and develop are hiring for per diem positions up to 28 hours per week at $17.50 per hour. Monitor benefits include hourly MA Earned Sick Time (EST) accrual up to 40 hours per year. As an organization of over 500 staff we have a strong commitment to professional development and offer many opportunities for Monitors to obtain training and career development are able to offer flexible work hours and/or split shifts from early morning to late afternoon hours for transportation this way we may be a good fit for individuals who are taking college coursework or who otherwise require some flexibility in their work schedule. We would also consider applicants who would be interested in full time employment working as a Monitor on morning and afternoon runs and working in the schools for the time in between. Monitors may be assigned to a variety of company needs including:Supervising students during transportation to and from school: job duties include safely and courteously transporting students with a 7D licensed driver utilizing transportation as an extension of the classroom and engaging students in meaningful conversation and activities as appropriate. Monitors will also assist students with boarding and exiting vehicles and assuring use of seat belts and other restraint methods as required as well as communicating issues or concerns to the supervisor in a timely and professional manner. Working with students in our private schools: in this role Monitors will learn the role of the behavioral Interventionist as needed and assigned assisting and supporting Teachers with classroom management and educational activities. While working in the classroom the Monitor may provide behavioral (including physical restraints) & psycho-educational assistance to students failing to abide by school routines program limits and structure. At times there might also be opportunities to work as kitchen or janitorial staff. The Monitor role is a great entry level position for our organization where team members are able to gain valuable experience in our programs with the goal of developing professionally and moving into positions such as Interventionist and 7D Driver and other positions which would require a college degree including Case Manager Teacher etc. The Positive Regard Network is committed to staff professional development and training opportunities for all employees.
