Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Towers & Structures Inc a division of Nucor the nations largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Environmental Health & Safety Intern at our business unit located in Crawfordsville Indiana or Decatur Alabama. Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Participate in incident investigations and help develop corrective actions.
• Support EHS training programs and initiatives. Maintain safety records and documentation.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote safety awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the EHS team

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety Industrial Engineering Environmental Science or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduating in May 2027
• Previous internship or work experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Experience with safety management systems and software.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
