Job Summary
NXP Semiconductors is seeking an Equipment Engineer - Tester to maintain troubleshoot and optimize semiconductor test equipment ensuring high reliability and efficiency in our manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of semiconductor test equipment including automated test equipment (ATE) and associated peripherals.
* Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical mechanical and software components of test systems.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
* Participate in the installation qualification and calibration of new test equipment.
* Monitor equipment performance analyze data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance uptime yield and throughput.
* Develop and update maintenance procedures documentation and training materials for technicians.
* Support process improvements and technology transfers ensuring equipment readiness for new product introductions.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards within a cleanroom environment.
* Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for equipment service and parts procurement.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Mechatronics or a related technical field.
* Strong understanding of electronics electrical schematics and mechanical systems.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.
* Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal in English.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and safety regulations.
* Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python C) for test equipment control is a plus.
