We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant in our Accounting Compliance and Reporting team.
As a Senior Accountant in our Accounting Compliance and Reporting (ACR) department you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services to international clients. This role combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities offering opportunities to work on diverse projects and developing leadership skills and to be part of a team that values collaboration support and opportunities to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare review and analyze financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards
- Participate in monthly quarterly and annual closing processes
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
- Be part of various accounting projects and initiatives as needed
- Collaborate others team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare and review management reporting for clients
- Prepare and review direct (CIT) and indirect (VAT Intrastat) tax returns
- Participate in and communicate with the tax authorities during tax audits
- Communicate with and assist the clients auditors during annual financial audits
- Delegate and review tasks given to junior staff
- Communicate with clients on a daily basis
- Participate in preparation of proposals and other selling initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field;
3-4 years of experience in the field of accounting is a must
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices;
Solid understanding of MS Office package;
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
Strong analytical and problem-solving thinking;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
Fluency in English and Bulgarian
