Family and Relationship Counselling Program Team Leader Family and Relationship Counsellor
CatholicCare Tasmania are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to work out of our New Town office.
The Family and Relationship Services (FARS) Program is funded by the Australian Governments Department of Social Services with the expectation that CatholicCare Tasmania will also apply a fee for service policy to clients according to DSS Guidelines. CatholicCare Tasmania as a Child Inclusive Agency is committed to working in the best interests of young people.
The program aims to assist all families couples individuals and children though we prioritize those most disadvantaged or at risk. The program provides counselling group work mediation/support of for separated families specialised family violence interventions family law counselling and family relationship skills and training.
Our Personal Family and Relationship Counselling Program focuses on the individual client whilst holding in mind a purposeful approach to building capacity and improving relationships with key people in the clients life.
As a Team Leader your primary focus will be on program development and growth alongside supporting your team to provide professional counselling services you will carry a small caseload including provision of our professional EAP suite of services.
About You
Commitment to the vision mission and values of CatholicCare Tasmania as informed by the Archbishops Charter; and a broad understanding of the operation of the Catholic Church in Tasmania.
Detailed knowledge of family violence issues including good understanding of impacting issues such as mental health substance abuse and poverty with a minimum of three years of clinical experience.
Demonstrated experience and training in relationship and family counselling including work with children individually and in groups in a child focussed/inclusive practice.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams through process reforms organisational changes or restructures.
Demonstrated experience of prepare and delivering business cases tenders and submissions to support program sustainability and growth.
Proven ability to supervise a team of Counsellors Social Workers and/or similar allied health professionals and network effectively including resourcefulness and organisation skills.
